Hi,

Time for a moan. A couple of points to raise, which bog the moderation team down in unnecessary stuff. Please help us out, it's unhelpful and impacts on our free time.

So...

First, please post in the correct section. General Banter is not a dumping ground for every post. There are sections for pretty much everything, and it takes us time having to move them around. If you can't find a section which you feel applies, then tag me or HT and we can advise / move it for you - call it a learning experience so you know for next time ;)

Secondly, when an event has happened - a new thread should be created in the Events and Cruise Write Ups & Gallery section. This is worse because it takes us even longer to sort through the organisation thread, create a new thread and then move the posts over.

Don't think I'm asking too much, Gaz

If it carries on I may have to get another mod, which has HT worried in case they nuke him... :whistle:
 
I didn't think Kim Jong Un was a member on Zorg, otherwise he would have nuked HT along time ago.

Yep, listen up all you lovely members (and that is not one of my new made up swearwords..;))

We have been moving posts and threads around all day as, among other things, its cruising season again.
The reason this forum gives you a choice of different sections is to make navigation as simple as possible for people looking for a specific topic.

i.e, when an event is taking place or has ended, that then becomes a 'write up thread' and should be started by the first person who starts posting comments and photos and then the event thread is locked, so as to stop mixing stuff up and members posts not being read.

As for the 'General Banter' section, that is for general darn post's like @t-tony's new couch.

General Banter section gets over used.
We might as well just call this forum Zedroadster.org General Banter......

I appreciate your point Gary but some of us geriatrics are not forum/ IT experts. After the early days of Zorg I didn't visit for a while and when I came back, it took me a while to find my way around. I think I have got it now but some newcomers may have the same problem.

People click on 'Forums' before they post, so why do 95% choose General Banter?

Because they can't be arsed to find the right section =))
 
I do agree rather with MWPE, (do I put an "@" in front of his name) I guess his name is Mike but its not easy to find this information. Another thing that confused me is when I go to Media - Your Albums is says that I have not created any albums, implying that I could create an album if I wanted to, a moderator says no so I am not really sure if I can or can't.
It is probably just me as this is the first forum I have belonged to and it is great, I just love all the information available. I have just ordered a part from Sopers which went really well, without this forum I would not know about Sopers or how to fit a cruise control. Thanks to all that have helped me so far.
 
I'll take this thread in the manner it's clearly intended and will make sure I (at least try) to post in the write section. This is hands down the best forum I know of and I feel quite loyal to it. Equally I am grateful to the boffins who keep things in order so we can keep enjoying it. If we can make it easier we will. Thanks for your continued efforts.
