The meeting went VERY well today , he seams like a man that knows what he talking about, he asked lots of questions that our garage didn’t ask us .👍
So on Monday , Alan will phone our garage and say that my Z will be collected from him , we will go and pay what we owe to the garage , then my Z will go to the garage in Bungay, ( we have to get a low rider again to take the Z to Bungay ) the person who owns the garage is called George , he seams a lovely person.
We have to give George 48 hours notice to tell him when the Z will be with him .
I’m so excited 🥳

This is excellent news @Shelly 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I’ve been wondering how you have got on and I’m thrilled for you. George sounds a thorough person you can trust.
In other news: I’ve been to see my Z this afternoon!!! I can relate to feeling excited!!!
It’s looking so very beautiful and I am sooooooo excited that I shall almost have my car back 😀
Chris, who has been looking after my Z, is very thorough and really knows his stuff. I know the wait has been a very long wait - don’t ask me how long or I’ll have to …. 🤣 - but boy! The skill that is demonstrated in the superb quality of work Chris has done is outstanding and very hard to find nowadays.

Yes it is , I’m very excited, I can’t wait to get my Z back , it seams like it’s been gone for ever.
You will have to post some photos of your lovely Z when you get it back ( if you have time as I know when I get mine back , I’ll be driving for ages lol , it will be like Christmas)
Do you know when yours will be ready, how exciting for you 🥳

The MOT is booked for next week so I’m hoping then. And yes, I’ll post some photos.
I know how you feel! I will be out all over the place driving my beautiful Z.
I might post a thread about my Z before and the trouble with cowboy traders who butcher cars and after, now. The images will speak volumes.

If only …….
Hope they don’t charge me for storage space 😂😂
@Shelly I cannot see how you can possibly owe the garage which has done nothing but put your Z “out the back”, so out of sight, any money. Seriously.
In fact, you could counter with its cost you money to transport your Z there 12 weeks ago only to have the garage not undertake the necessary work plus all the inconveniences it had caused as a result of you not having your car.

Hi Shelley,
I have been following this thread about your issues with Snow White. I really feel for you as I know how much you love that car. I feel the same about my Pistachio and heart certainly rules over head when it comes to the cost of repairs etc..
Mine recently went in to have some work done and it seemed to take forever (it was only just over a week!😁).
I hope it all turns out well and you get to post a new photo of you in Snow White's driving seat soon.

I know it sounds silly, but check the battery terminals. The negative cable on my 98 1.9 rests on the boot floor. I've had it when engine light comes on, the negative has worked loose.

Latest update……
Yesterday morning Alan phoned the garage up 👍
He asked about my Z 🌞
He was told the car was up on the ramp with the chain off 🥳
And it should be ready by the end of the week 🥳
So it’s staying there now
It will need a mot and tax before I can drive it , I’m really hoping that by the end of the week it will be home with me where it belongs 🌞

"So it's staying there now" ? Surely not with the original garage that has refused to do anything and fobbed you off for 12 weeks? AND you've told them you are having it collected Monday (yesterday) to take it elsewhere. They need action taking against them if that is the case as they are doing the opposite of what you have instructed.
Alan phoned the garage up yesterday morning, and said what is happening with Shelly’s car , he said he’s got all the bits off it and also the chain too and I’ll be working on it this week , so give me a couple of more days and it will be done . I couldn’t then say all the bits need to go back on it lol , so fingers crossed, my Z will be back home very soon 👍

You need to name and shame them. Perhaps when you get the car back,

The car is prpbably in the back yard collecting dust.
this is standard "pizza delivery procedure".
whenever I call about my order "the boy just left with your order sir".
