Agreed - treating her to a nice holiday in the South of France - she may have to work hard there and back but can go topless and gently exercise whilst there.:)

Several things planned on the Z including getting the wheels refurbished, get the front end resprayed to eliminate the stone chips (not that they are that bad!), fit braided clutch hose and give it a good service.

Also make sure I use it! I'm planning an Easter trip to Brittany with the wife in the 911SC and I've just booked to go to Classic Le Mans in the Z with a bunch of pals. Been three times before and it's fab! Also fancy Silverstone Classic in one of the cars. I live close to Weston Super Mare and if it's not pouring down and the BMW club are running their show on the front then would like to attend that too!!

Busy year ahead!

Well I've got a fair bit planned. Subframes off strengthened and powder coated along with everything else that will come off underneath. Strengthen boot floor and install a full set of poly bushes, drop links and track rods. New engine mounts install M50 manifold fabricate mounts for intercooler and pipe work and get the supercharger wound up :D Oh yeah! After that install new seats re cover dash and console and maybe paint the wheels.

From the sounds of your exhaustive list, Darren, it seems that everything has worked out okay for you, as it sounds like you must be back on the employment Merry-Go-Round again.:)

Like Liam, we are still waiting to lay eyes on your Pride & Joy:cool:.

We are planning to fit the new radiator in Mora, that I have had now for a year, and a new water pump too. Just don't seem to get much time to spare nowadays!! ;)

Find yourself a bit of time Mike and get them fitted, you will kick yourself if you have a failure whilst the new bits are in the garage. ;)

Gotta love the forge intercooler, they make some top quality kit, getting one for the T5 shortly.

I would spray up the brake dust plates as that black paint comes off quickly

Bought my Z| on October '13 and only did a couple of hundred miles before SORN-ing for the winter. The previous owner had only done 700 miles in the previous 2 years and there is a backlog of basic stuff that needs sorting, so I am now busy saving for the work that needs to be done.

First job in April will be to get a service carried out and I will have the brake fluid changed at the same time. There was a fair bit of work done on the suspension a couple of years ago but the drop links were picked up on an advisory at the last MOT so they will be replaced. Any advice on essential preventative works for a Z3 2.8 with 76K on the clock would be welcome. I am not looking for performance upgrades just sound advice on getting back to near original spec. (or practical upgrades like polyprop bushes).

Soon after there will be a trip to the paint shop to deal with early onset rust issues on the rear wheel arches (tiny bubbles showing on the surface at present, but we know what will be going on underneath don't we!). The drivers door also has a nasty patch of rust on the top leading edge and I have a replacement door ready for refurbishment. and fitting. If anybody has stripped and rebuilt a Z3 door would be interested to get any advice on the "How-to -do" front.

After the work has been done I am hoping we (wife and I) will be able to get out and about on some of the great roads we have up here to enjoy the driving with roof down and wind blowing across my bald head (I would have liked to put "through my hair" but that would have been far too much of an exaggeration).

I would also like to join up with other members for a cruise at some point. There don't seem to be many Z-org members up here in the north-east or perhaps they have not yet put themselves on the map. If you are up here or just heading north on your travels then please get in touch.

Finally, plans for this year will include looking at a trip in 2014 to the south of France taking in some of the classic mountain roads. If you have done this trip (I have seen some posts) advice and recommendations would be most welcome.

There are quite a few oldies who aren't on the map. At lot of members were here before the map, which was only added in May/June when I changed to a different forum software.

Have you seen Billz cruise planned for April? There will no doubt be someone posting up soon about "Cars in the Park" which is normally held at Newby Hall in Yorkshire. I've seen the date posted on their Facebook page, so will try and find that. We normally have a get together there.
