I had loads of problems with full frame JPEGs (it is a 22M pixel camera though). My full res JPEGs are normally around 6-7MByte but they usually don't or didn't upload. I routinely scale them down to 1500 pixels on the longest edge and that usually works. That usually gets them below 1Mbyte. Thats more than big enough to show them on most monitors and devices - its easy enough to do though so it doesn't cause any pain but might be a problem for those uploading un-edited images.

Can we not have the write ups protected from just anyone who is not a member or depending on posts or something like that

Billz, you can start a separate thread in the Not Safe For Work section as you need to be both a registered member and 'opted in' to see it. That would keep it out of the public eye.

Sadly just deleting the file doesn't mean to say its no longer available. It will still be there somewhere, even if only in the servers backups and archives. They can easily be recovered if need be. Once its there, its there. Be careful what you post!
@GazHyde - Are crawlers allowed to scan all the site except NSFW posts?

The only area they can't see is the NSFW section. Google will de-index content after a period of time once it notices it's gone, so nothing truly stays on the internet forever (with some specific exceptions). As the site admin I can manually request Google de-index specific items if I need to.

Best off is to use the NSFW area for anything you don't want to be "public" public ;)

Just the music tracks Steve. That's the only part that's protected, your video is just that, yours.

It usually happens in the 24 hours of loading the video. Not only is sound removed, they tell you what the music is and who the copywrite owner is. Best to turn the music off in the car and have the best soundtrack available.
