Love the Lotus Europa.
All wired up and ready to go...How things have changed since I last was seriously involved in astro photography.. That little wireless doohickey, is actually a computer in its own right..guides, stacks, and points.. Assuming I have wired it all correctly...
. So I can drive it from inside with a tablet, with no fear of mosquitoes, snakes, drop bears, spiders and crocodiles...

Thats a big lens. You must be taking photos of planets and constellations and not landscapes?
Yes , that is what it is for, It is actually only 250mm. but designed for astro. Subject matter is usually nebulae and galaxies,its too short FL for planetary..

If we're doing moon picture
Shadows going across the top right highlighting the rim of the Mare Crisium crater (sea of crises). I must have been holding the camera at a slight angle. Lucky. Normally I don't get a sharp shot free hand on full zoom. I had it set to take 10 quick shots and that was the only clear one.
Camera is Sony WX500.

Also hand-held @ 1/200th sec and @ISO 1600, from my bedroom window

I shook a bit you can see it in the stars...
this was my first attempt at a rig shot, pretty pleased with it. Look forward to trying again with the Z3 once it's roadworthy!
How was it done,, It captured movement quite well.
