It,s not often I see one that big, It can hang on , with those hooks on the end of its legs. I relocated it to our pond garden, It should be happy there...Thats some monster Stick insect!
Full zoom on p900. That's a sharp picture. Do you carry a tripod? Or do you just have rock steady arms?
I hear what your saying, normally I just lean against something, the Image Stabilization is pretty good too. but there is a little bit of shake in the picture. Also the image on a P900 deteriorates rapidly when you go into digital zoom, well its only 16m pixels or so , I guess its not bad though for what it is..Full zoom on p900. That's a sharp picture. My sony wx500 at full optical zoom is almost impossible to hold steady. I let it take 10 shots and hope one of them decent. It has a fraction of your zoom but then it fits in my pocket without me getting arrested.
I find just 1 or 2 x into digital zoom is ok. After that then zooming and cropping on the PC is better.I hear what your saying, normally I just lean against something, the Image Stabilization is pretty good too. but there is a little bit of shake in the picture. One picture was taken just before dawn, without a flash. the other in daylight. The camera has clearly compensated for low light and thrown a green hue in that image. However it is clear the the frog changes colour. It's quite obvious looking by eye, hence I took the second photo..I wonder if its temperature related or some kind of natural camouflage . I might have to look it up...Why have the leaves changed colour as well?
Great photos though.
