As one or two of you witnessed I had a bit of a rattle develop on the Lakes run this year , managed to find a couple of battens and a small wall at the back of the hotel and set about finding the culprit , it was the petrol tank knocking/rattling when going over rough ground . I managed to loosen off one of the straps and put a small piece of wood between tank and strap and off we went on our merry way. I had forgotten this little repair untill the piece of wood decided to fall out so back came the rattle. Friday after work took car for wheel alignment after getting recent new tyres then home to drop both tank straps and fit some lovely new foam rubber cut from my screwfix kneeling mat ( other brands are available ). Result rattle gone now ready for Scottish run.
