I have the original mesh deflector but I thought I’d give this a try

Only ever had a perspex one .
You could maybe post up how you think the 2 compare to each other.
Stephen.

We had both on our Z3. The mesh is best for Winter as you do not get as much swirl coming into the cabin. Summer the Perspex one is best as you get more air into the cabin

Yes I’ve noticed that already.
I must say I prefer the look of the Perspex one over the mesh.
I’m pleased with it especially since I’ve constructed it not purchased it

I used to have the mesh one on over the cold months and then switch to the perspex over the summer months, it is nice to have the option

Might invest in a mesh one as well because do like to take the zed out in the winter if the weather is ok.

I have both and tend to use the perspex one around the UK but when going on a long road trip like the recent trip to Italy, I use the mesh one as it is easier to use the space behind the roll bars for small items of luggage or jackets.

Nice, but it's on the wrong side of the hoops.

i made a small perspex one and i surprised on how well it works... i have chrome bars and the standard perspex one is not quite the righht shape.. for my roll bars... i also used to use a folding type mesh deflector for use without bars and i have found the smaller perspex one as good as a full length mesh item... its not perfect to look at but works well though...

Yes I know but I can’t access the cubby box if it’s on the other side
I thought as much . A nifty solution is to put a bend in the middle section so that it angles out away from the lid.
