my partner bought me for Christmas a stocking filler new pedal covers which where on eBay says they are for a Z3 plus several other cars. Today I decided I’d fit them Went out pulled off rubber covers put masking tape over pedals so I could lay the new covers on and mark the holes that have to be drilled I offered up the new cover and I may be missing some thing but in my opinion there’s a cat in hell’s chance of these fitting on as far as I can see. My partner emailed the company and told them and they suggested that I watch the video of how to fit them on utube and sent a link ( I did feel that this was an insult to my intelligence) how ever I did watch it and it was exactly the way I was going to do it only difference was they had a template to drill the holes with. I will show you all the pictures we have now sent to the supplier she got them from I’m now waiting to see what he comes back with.

I originally had these on my Z3 now on the Z4 never drilled the clutch and brake pedal just used small washers that made the bolts crip the edge of the pedal. No problem firmly fixed. Mine had AC Snitzer on but look the same shape fixings etc.

Mine are held in with just the 2 nut and bolts at the top of both pedals. Been on the car a while now without any problems. You won't get all 4 in so just use the top 2.

Got them in on my Z3 but they were right on the edges. Fitted the accelerator pedal one using self rappers.
Similar with the Z4.

Dose it pass mot ok like that because it’s not secured properly and I’d be a bit worried if you caught the toe of your shoe under bottom edge it could snap off at top since those tiny little bolts would be right on top edge of pedal.
I know I’ve never caught my foot like that yet but there’s always a first time lol.

Worse case scenario it comes off and your left with the metal pedal. @t-tony best person re MOT but shouldn't be a problem as they are more secure than a rubber one that just peels on and off

They are universal, if genuine would probably be silly money

Yes you are probably right on that one. I’m thinking I may make up 2 plates out of thin metal to go behind pedal and sandwich pedal between bit like U that way you could use bottom holes as well.

I had the same issue so did as other have and used all 4 bolts and trapped the pedal with the washers on the back, they have been on for a year or so now with no issue

That should work, are you doing a footrest

I do like that I will be doing a foot rest as there is just no where comfortable for your left foot it wasn’t until my partner bought these for me that we found sets with the foot rest included. But yes thanks for idea on fitting.

You also have to cut the footrest down as there is not enough clearance when you press the clutch.

I had to slim down the footrest which came with my kit for the Z4 even though it has a hard footrest already fitted being an auto.

Ok thanks for that is nothing straight forward but then if it was it wouldn’t be fun.

Been through 3 or 4 MOT's with them fitted and never had any problems. I tried to pull them off when I fitted them and they are not going anywhere at all, they are solid even with just 2 bolts. I believe even the genuine ones are the same size so you would find the same problem fitting a set of them, I haven't a clue why they made them like that.

I think you will find the ones you have there are designed to fit on top of the rubbers not to replace them, thats why the holes are in the wrong place. you can get either.

It's amazing how strong those little screws and nuts are. Have fitted these in 2 cars now and have had no problems what so ever.

You should not mount these on top of the original rubber anti-slip pads. Bad idea.
