I know @MAURICE THE MARTIAN did a recce today and when i spoke to him he did not mention anything

We have had a couple now drop out so maybe spare places up for grabs

I notice that the start point has moved so I've now got to google it and check out the best route to get there, hope it won't take too long!=))

Yes there is 2 spaces available but they are are in the more driver focused groups

Just seen this thread, - I was out that way last Sunday and there was a lot of chipping work being done on the B roads between Winking Man and Waslow, near where the Mermaid used to be. It looked like repair work rather than full surface dressing. But no doubt doing the area

Be careful out there and have fun :coolsteer)

I am going for another recce today so hopefully i will see if there are any suspect areas that i need to avoid

I have just completed the recce for this route. I have made a few adjustments. I can not find anywhere where all 4 groups can stay for lunch.
There is a photo opportunity of all of us across the Dam in the Goyte Valley and also a possibility of all of us getting into the same car park at castleton but we may have to pay £4 for the days parking when we will only be there around 20 to 30 minutes. Toilet stops have been highlighted on the ITN and GPX route file. These will obviously be at each groups discretion and may require juggling around to find suitable parking.
The Toilet stops are Nos 15,24,32 and 33. The photo stop is number 19.
It only took me 5hrs to get to the end and that was with a lunch break and 2 coffee stops so i would imagine we will be at the end between 3 and 4pm which will give us plenty of time for chats and coffee before we say goodbyes.

Please be aware there are a few tight single track roads and everyone please be careful and courteous to other road users.
Apart from the Average Speed Cameras along the Cat and Fiddle and the A54 i did not see any either static or mobile. But that does not mean there wont be any mobile ones out and about.
Finally if anyone requires the ITN or GPX file for the Satnav please PM me your Email and i will Email it over. I already have Marks
Any questions then please get in touch.
I will be issuing a Printed version of the map to all members before we set off.
