so ive just got my car now it’s just getting the wife on board she’s still a bit against the idea of me having it anyone else had the same?

Nope we just fight over who's driving, never spent so much time in the passenger seat :(. Once you have had a few runs out with the sun shining I'm sure she will get on board.

My boss at work had similar issues when he bought an MX5, he later sold it. I told him that was a big mistake, convince your wife to give it time and come to some meets and cruises and meet like minded folk.
My wife has a VW Eos so she doesn't need to steal my Z4. We went to Gt. Yarmouth in it last week as it's more economical than a 3.0 Z4 but had the roof down most days.

Tony.

If you come to any meets or cruises you will see that most of the members wife's attend with them and a number of the wives are also active forum members themselves.
Before I brought the zed I was looking for a weekend car which the Mrs didn't take to the notion of why even less so once I told her buying a yellow bmw convertible.
Once we had been out a few times then I joined here and we went on the lakes run that was her sold fast forward couple of years we still have our skoda and now own 2 z3 .:)

Nope. The C-in-C Just thinks it's another car :wideyed: I've tried councelling and psychological torture but no joy :banghead:

Shame you got it the wrong end of the year. I've always been happy roof down in winter, so long as it ain't raining, but persuading a reluctant wife/whatever? May be tricky. Just hope for some kind of Indian summer.

Its the social side to the cars that is just as important, my partner Ali enjoys driving the zeds but really enjoys meeting up with everyone and having a chat, its what the meets and cruises are really about, the cars bring us together but its the people that are the real reason for going.

If I want to do something, I do it. If Jill wants to do something, she does it. We don't ask for each others approval to do things. We've been married for 35yrs and have always had separate bank accounts as well as a joint "home" account, I spend my money on stuff that I want and she does the same. Sometimes we have separate holidays, sometimes we holiday together. I work away from home and only spend 3 nights a week in my own bed. Most of my family think we have a strange "arrangement" but it suits us down to the ground. If Jill decided she didn't want to go on forum meets I'd just go on my own.
The point I'm trying to make is that it's a shame that we would be prevented from doing something just because someone else doesn't feel the same way.

Let the wife have a drive of your Z :p
She will soon change her mind and you might find it hard to get the keys back ;)

No! I got mine first and then he decided he wanted one, so we have one each.
