Part Removal

Before sending my steering wheel off to be recovered I would like to remove the two parts either side of the airbag.
How do i go about this ?
The steering wheel is off and the airbag removed but I just can't work out how to remove these two items.

Just give them a good pull and they will come off, they are just held in by some plastic lugs. Feels like they are going to break but you just need to pull them.

I've tried a screwdriver to leave the lugs but guess I'm not putting my back into it as i didn't want to brake them

As said they are on 4 lugs they take some getting off but they are quite substantial so unlikely you will break them

Job done. I just yanked them out

Don't forget to remove your slip ring as well he only wants the wheel

Really. Now how do i go about that

Remove the white clip on the front and on the rear of the wheel you remove the slip ring with the 3 torx screws .. so 4 torx in total

Yeah undo all those torx bolts and remove the two peices the wheel he sent me was bare.

I call them tomorrow to check if it needs to be removed as i don't have the tools but really want to get the steering wheel despatch

As your sending it in it may not matter i did exchange.
Wouldn't want them to go missing thats all
