Part Number Required

Hi Steve, if you have a good look at the ends of the pins I think they will have a "split" down them. If you gently insert a knife blade into the split you can spread the ends of the pins to give a better contact. Worth a try.

Tony.

ps. I mentioned a knife, you are allowed sharp things?;)=))=)) Hope you get it sorted mate.:)

I can use sharp things Tony but only in the company of a responsible adult since my accident at school =)) involving a Stanley knife and my thigh

OUCH!! Where you going to find a responsible adult on here anyway?=))

Tony.

Thanks Brian but it looks different to the socket thats fitted and i didn't want to charging the socket if i can get the plug to match the original socket.

I thought I had just found the part you need, with 3 electrical connectors with a few spare bits I had when I purchased a hardtop fitting kit, but it's the other side of the connector like Russell is offering :(

Thanks. Its the female you have but it's the male i required.
Nice of you be so kind to check

if this is the hard top socket im sure i cut mine off, i might still have it somewhere. it looks suspiciously like the power source i used for my inboard usb sockets (i took the power from the heated rear screen plug) i may not have actually removed it so i suppose it could be cut off if i havnt already (being a bloke i dont usually throw stuff away so it must still be here somewhere)

infact i just remembered i need to go and put my roof up before bed, i will go and see if it is still attached, if it isnt i will still have it somewhere.

nope - chopped off, but i dont normally throw stuff away so highly likely in the shed, will check tomorrow eve.

it was still attached to the car, i have the lower socket if any good to you.

the wiring harness i have is fitted to the car and ends at the plug in the second photo (i didnt have the harness that is attached to the actual hard top) your welcome to the plug i have though.
