Called in to my local body shop on my way home from work with the Zed to finally get a quote on a full paint job, known the chap for years and had a few jobs done by him. He also does wheel refurbs, powder coating. He came out of the shop and as soon as he saw it was a Zed he said there will be a Zed coming in in a fortnight for a full paint job on a 250 California body kit, Ferrari blue, not sure which shade. So I'm on a mission to find out who it is and slip him a Zorg card and hopefully get a few pics.

Oh bugger, yeah, that's what i started the thread for, my respray. Planning on April / May next year, will be stripping all the panels off the car myself, all that'll be left on it would be doors and windscreen surround, so it'll be done properly, quoted £1000, I know it sounds cheap but he does a quality job and is always busy.
My wife's car a 1 series is going in next month for wheels powder coated and rear bumper respray £300.

True, dropping my wife's car off with him when we go off on holiday and he'll drop it back on the drive once done and leave the keys with my neighbour who is his cousin, very useful.
 
Good idea to remove the panels the rear wings seem to be prone to rust on the joints where you cannot see the rust underneath. Just one question where are you going to strip the car? At the body shop or at home ?

I'll strip it at home and trailer it to the shop, only 1.5 miles.

Would you mind PM'ing me the details of the body shop? If he's that good and that cheap I'll be bearing him in mind for future work as I'm only down the road in Swansea.

Bloody hell no wonder he is busy, we are one of the cheaper shops in our area and it would be double that with us.
