Well as a grumpy old man they get on my wick. There's one on all the time.
There's cheerful Charlie pottering about in his living room and a woman pops in from next door. Instead of having a normal conversation he tells her all about his life insurance policy. Well, you'd think that he'd shown her a new robot he'd bought that does all the ironing, folds it and puts it away which only cost £9.99. She's overjoyed, can't contain her excitement and gushes, " Oooooh, I think I'll get one,an over 50 s life isurance plan, what could be better?I'm really looking forward to dying now. Can't wait. "
Alright,I know, I may be inclined to exaggerate , but I wonder how the advert would pan out if I lived next door.........
"Hi Ken,the over 50 s life insurance plan I told you about yesterday, so that you can leave a bit extra for friends and family when you pass away.Did you give that some thought?"
" Yeah, sod that, I'm getting my Z4 resprayed instead."

I know what you mean, stuck at home post surgery and watching all those flaming funeral plan ad's - they all look so bleedin happy at the thought of their funeral. He'd be happier nipping next door and 'giving her one' =))

Jill keeps nagging me to make a will but if I do I feel I'm booking my spot. Anyway, I bought a new spade last week so that's the funeral sorted =))

Nice one Ken that advert winds me up too. I think she's after getting him in bed

When my dad was in hospital a few years back there was a common room with a telly and a radio both broken, on the table were numerous leaflets about leaving money to Luton And Dunstable hospital in your will. I could see a conflict of interests. I am not suggesting they would deliberately bump off patient who had left them a legacy in there will but.... =))

Anyone else know what music they want at their funeral ? I do ...

My brother wants "Wake me up before you go go"
I want Sarah Brightman "Time to say good bye"

I’m having Thin Lizzy - The Boys are Back in Town (fave band ever). And as everyone leaves
Bernard Cribbins - Right Said Fred (thought Hole in the Ground was pushing it a bit).

Another one bites the dust

or Wooden Tit by the Beach Boys

Send Me to Glory in a Glad Bag, by John Biggs...or Another One Bites the Dust.

Nice one @DaveP, my favourite group too.
However my funeral tune has got to be 'Jollity Farm' by The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band.

Good choice :)

With regard to Thin Lizzy: have you seen Limehouse Lizzy the tribute band? They are bloody great.

Dave

I've seen them a few times at The Wharf at Tavistock and yes they are very good. A couple of weeks ago we went to The Wharf and saw Voodoo Room, a Hendrix, Cream and Clapton tribute show. They were superb

Oh they Are good. Seen them but not for a couple of years.

I know we all want to see the originals. Problem is not many of them left :(

If I see a tribute band to get a great set list, so be it :)

Spot on @DaveP, we saw Thin Lizzy a few times before Phil's death, but later we have seen Limehouse Lizzy at least 50 times. Are You Experienced are the best Hendrix tribute we've seen.

Forgot to mention @DaveP, that when we had the black and red Z3 it's name was 'Roisin Dubh' (Black Rose) . Slim and youthful Wayne and Greg here!
