Wanted Outer sill

Hi all I am looking for a drivers side outer sill for a 2.8 R reg, if anyone can help.

I have two one for each side in Artic Silver from my R reg 2.8, you can have them for a donation to the site, I live outside Durham in the North East.

Why did you change them are they in poor condition

There is some rust but the metal is solid

I had them off a few years earlier as I painted the inside.

As far as getting sound used outer sill covers I don't think you'll find any better ones than these. When I did my outer sill covers last year on my 2000 Coupe they actually fell apart even though they didn't look too bad when still on the car.
These look to have minimal rust particulaily at the known rust areas at the flanged ends which can be easily treated.

These are as good as you will find for used. If you want new, buy new.

After I changed them I did wonder weather it had been worth the bother, but at least I knew that the frame underneath was in good order.

Its a chicken and egg situation sometimes, you buy your new sill covers when they are available thinking that your existing ones might be shot only to find they are in not too bad condition which seems to be the case here. I thought that mine were maybe retrievable and could have been refurbished by someone as I definitely wanted to fit new items as I was doing a lot of work on the wings and inner sills etc. My drivers side sill just fell apart (the outer paint was holding together ) and the passenger side wasn't much better.

You won’t get used in better condition than this.
