hi everyone,

Sincere apologies for the outage this afternoon. We had an issue in one of our data centres, waiting for the full report on what happened, but as a result some of our servers were affected. All those servers, apart from the one this site is one were back up within a few minutes.

This server lost contact with it's storage system so we had to do some manual work to get it back online, adding to the delay. Due to the server not being restarted for so long it required to go through what is called a check disk. this checks the files to make sure everything is ok but can take some time so added to the delay.

As we seem to be growing popular now i'll look at having the site on one of our mirrored servers so that if this should happen again the mirrored version will take over in another data centre.

haha, the front end of the site was upgraded to the latest version yesterday ;)

The forum will be upgraded next as there is a new release out but we are looking into what other goodies we can include and do it all at once :)
