I would imagine she's thick as two short planks too. You don't go into intensive care with this thing for no reason. The next step if he gets worse is an induced coma with a ventilator breathing for him. With the best result then a likely life of lung function impairment. Presumably she thinks this thing is just a bad case of the sniffles. Otherwise she is effectively encouraging his potential demise. So to my mind that either makes her thick or vile, or perhaps both.

I hope that the PM pulls through. I hope that anyone struck down by this awful virus pulls through. I'm pleased that the media is showing more footage of the inside workings of an ICU and interviews with poorly patients. Hopefully it may eventually make at least a few of the terminally stupid change their selfish behaviour, although I wouldn't bet on it. Only when someone near to them dies will they realise.
It’ll get worse before getting better. Read yesterday that an anticipated 60,000 deaths are anticipated in “first wave” in the UK alone.

Someone I know who works as a NHS allergy dietician has volunteered to work at the new Nightingale Birmingham hospital which, incidentally, it’s owners have loaned to the NHS for use without any charge. Yes, you read this correctly: free!

Apparently she's had the Labour whip withdrawn, so I guess that means as she's no longer a member of the Labour party she can't be Mayor either. Also, judging from the response on Twitter to her employers, a local solicitor, she may be looking for a new job.
I think Boris and his team are doing a good job and they seem to really care.

The UK Government figure is 20k or less. 60k is from a recent ‘European’ analysis which is being heavily disputed. In fact to me it looks like a politically motivated joke. Italy predicted at 20k by Aug and they are already at 18k!!
