We have decided to do another road trip next year for our holiday. We will be setting off Wedensday 8/8/12 and returning around the 24/8/12.
The route i have chosen down is similar to what we did earlier this year.
Dunkirk, Berck sur mer, Tours, Pau through the Pyrenees and then on to Javea.
The route back however we have not done before, which will be Javea, Gerona, Valence in France, Oleggio, up through the Stelvio Pass, through Julierpass stopping at Chur, then through the Sustenpass to Thun and onto Colmar before heading back to Dunkirk.
This will involve in a 4 day Drive down and around 6 days drive back.
This is a map of our route back from Javea after spending 7 days in a nice 2 bed villa.

I dont think you can put it on to 3d like you can when you create the map but i looked through it and to me it looks a stupendous route.

Thanks to kim we can only go in August, but there is one bonus and that is its going to be hotter for going through the Alps :-BD

It was hot enough on our cruise in June this year,come August yer gonna fry.

Factor 50 think it will have to be more than that, My legs looked as red as a lobser getting dunked in boiling water and that was at the end of May.

Not really just reminding myself what a muppet i am,drove back from Spain this year ,two soddin days with the roof up, :(( All because of a tech hitch.

Just a quick update on our planned road trip in August. After loads and loads of seaching and planning we have now almost got things sorted. I thought it might mozza thats why i updated the thread. Cracking price if there are more than 2. Works out for the 3 of us at just £27 each per day :-bd :-bd and it means you have a central place to be able to just go off for the day cruising the Alps without having to book loads of different hotels.
