Yeah, just about as daft as seeing them up in early November over in Florida along with Christmas songs playing when you're out in flip flops and shorts Mike.;)

They don't do that over here until a while after the 5th of December because that is the date their "Sinterklass" is celebrated.
When I first came over here in 79 Christmas was not much to write home about as a holiday, it was just another bank holiday with a pot of Rabbit stew on the table.
 
The "Holidays" start over tin the US with Thanks Giving (late November?) and really run through to New Years. I'm not sure I would like to spend Christmas in Florida but seeing as Shirl does, we probably will at some point.;)

@Dino D did not start anything off topic, he gave a perfectly valid reason for slow uptake. Just because someone mentions Christmas in January doesn't mean we need to have a whole off topic debate.

I've moved this clutter to another thread, please stop dragging threads off topic. Also feel free to post a new thread if you want to grumble about something, and I'm sure the thread starter and those who want to read it, will be absolutely delighted that you do.

You know what you should be doing .
You need to go on the mot computer and print off the 131 pages of the draft manual for the new mot in May some changes coming about not all retrospective some only on newer vehicles.
Give something to get your head into if your quiet
