That's what I love about this forum, the people, snippets of their private lives, I get to help people find parts on eBay, I learn about my car, I'm forced to use google maps to see where people live and where the runs are going, I'm learning about the UK, and never go off topic unless it will be a test control group for new material for my stand up routine which I'll need to make money to pay for Dad Hyde's nursing home care when I have to put him in one. How about sweet cigarettes - thin candy cigarettes with a red tip and you used to pretend you were smoking!
Can you imagine getting that passed the politically correctness brigade today ???=))
 
How about "mighty Imps" - really old fashioned liquorice and menthol pellets that used to turn your tongue black and blow your head off!!

We used to get Rockall's ice cream van round on Wednesday evenings in the summer. The came right out from Hibaldstow near Brigg out to Marton, 5 miles south of Gainsborough. That's a long way!. Also a fish and chip bus.

ps. There was also a shop in Gainsborough where as a schoolboy cycling back to school after dinner you could get 1 No6 and 2 matches, but don't tell. SSHHHH!
