The lorry must have braked hard and the tumbler would have be turning to mix the concrete causing a balance issue under hard braking and oooooops!

Shame it didn’t happen on the A27 or A259, and fill in some of the bloody pots holes.

Someone round here had their house burnt by one of those "hoverboard" things that kids seem awfully keen on these days, left it on charge at the foot of the stairs and up in flames it went.:wideyed: Didn't happen when I were a lad, had to make our own entertainment etc:rolleyes:

Best game ever, out in the orchard, bloody great big cooking apples stabbed onto the end of a sharp whippy stick then lob them at each other, hurt like bugggery when you got hit.
Ah, those were the days.:)

We used crab apes for that and old spokes freshly chopped out of an old bike wheel wi mams kindling hatchet. Stuck sharp end of spoke through hand on more than one occasion too.

Tony.

Haha, remember one lad let go of his sharp stick and the apple.
Apple missed the other kid but the sharp stick went straight through the lads welly boot.

Used to drive one of those. Stupid people think you can stop on a dime and you're hauling 12 yards of concrete. Almost rolled one over on my first test drive before getting the job. I was used to driving a tri-axel dump truck and didn't realize how much more top heavy a barrel truck was when it was loaded and turning. The man doing the testing probably thought I'd learned my lesson about barrel trucks and passed me anyway even though I had it up on one side for a brief moment. That was a fun drive....gives you the shakes...........Frankie

The Dolly Parton of lorries !!!!

That can happen when the drum has been left stopped the concrete settles and the P.T.O is put in to start it turning it can flip them over if the engine rev’s are to high. But looking at that I’ve not a clue what caused it but I’m glad I didn’t have to make that call to the boss.

No, not his fault, his truck gets loaded at night by a bunch of numpties and you can't double check everything when they want you out on the road ASAP the next morning.

I think you just dug yourself out of bloody deep hole there young Albert:thumbsup:=))

You can’t load them at night and send them out in morning the cement would have gone off hard by then unless you leave them running and it’s drum turning.you on a wind up again.

Not like him is it? No, @Grumps drive a 4 in drag set up carry plastic double glazing units and such which are loaded on "stillage" type of things. Sometimes they slip and fall against the curtain sides of the truck.
