Bloody hell Tony that takes me back to being very young, my dear old Nan used to bake those for me and my sisters with Demerara sugar and cream when we went to stay over.

Yep, one we picked up many years ago Niall. BBQ them till they start to split. Brown sugar , brandy and squirty cream . Converted some doubters last night too.
It was @Rha who christened them lake fish after a pre cruise recce BBQ at ours a few years ago.

Yep 'twas me cos when I first saw them they looked like something the anglers (over Tony's fence) had caught in the lake,
I said " YUK!!!!! no thank you " but must admit I've been converted since. Seriously though, how could anybody do that to a banana. ................................

We always did ours with rum rather than brandy

There's lot's of other things to try them with. A friend had some banana liqueur we had once that was very nice.
