As some of you might remember that earlier this year, I got myself an adorable black Labrador puppy. We actually got my Bertie 6 days before we moved from Oxford, over to Hereford (we're in a village about 5 miles from the city).

He's been a godsend during lockdown and since getting him, I've managed to shed around 3st and have had my fitness improve greatly, even though my spine has declined, due to me not being able to get my annual operation where they burn my damaged nerves back. In the last month, we've managed to get him properly house trained, which means he no longer is left in the kitchen over night and now sleeps in my bedroom.

My mum has been taking some great pics of him and yesterday she got this brilliant pic of Bertie I want to share with you.

Looks like he dug up a dinasaur.:)

I've been ordering Bertie's feed online, as his breeder used the AVA brand for Pets at Home and I saw they had different bones. I had ordered a medium size bone and that's what they sent instead!

TBH, I am shocked he can actually pick the bloody thing up so easily, as it's almost as big as he was when we got it!

Lovely looking dog. The big challenge will be ensuring he says slim once he gets into adulthood.

He is already a greey little bugger and he constantly is chasing after crumbs or begging for food. We're really hyper aware of how easy it is for a lab to get over weight. We are lucky that the garden has lots of steep slopes which we run him up and down so he gets rid of that excess energy in the morning. Thanks to me walking Bertie, I've dropped 3 stone since Febuary!

He is one of the most pure black labs I've ever seen. He got a tiny bit of white on a part of his tail, but other than that it's just a glossy dark black. Ironically, since we moved to Hereford, I've come across about 6 other black labs, but 5 of them were from the "Working/American" variant. Then just round the corner from us in the village we live in, there is an adult male, "Show/English" line and It was like looking at Bertie in a few years time.

Sadly because of Bertie, I'm going to have to sell my Z4M in the near future. I have tried taking him out in my car a few times, but he gets stressed being sat on his own and he's jumped across to sit in my lap, while I am still driving

I'm looking at getting myself an E92 Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo, as I can put a cover and partition so he won't be able to get into the front, bar sticking his head through to look forwards. I have also looked at the E46 Alpina B3S , but my mum is not keen on me having an older car as she see's them as always needing thousands spending on them pretty much every year. I have also looked into the Ford Racing Puma (bucket list car for me) and the Subaru Forester STi , which would be perfect for both Bertie's and my needs from a car
