The Chancellor has said that the furlough scheme is to be extended through to March next year. Is there something the Government isn’t telling us?

I would suspect so Tony, the way they have carried on before, and I don't doubt this 4 weeks will be extended - but hoped to be proved wrong.
Maybe a little relaxation around Christmas, allowing a couple of households to mix - groups of 6 outdoors etc. then back to tighter restrictions.

The problem, as I see it, is post lockdown HMG gave the car keys to the kids. No surprise it crashed. A distinct lack of personal responsibility which ended in a massive upsurge in infections. The same will happen when we come out next time, I suspect.

The virus and periodic lockdowns will be with us indefinitely - even if a vaccine is available early new year it will take some time to filter through populations - and of course we must not forget about those who ignore the rules and re-energise the virus!
Even if we get a vaccine, will it be effective against the virus mutation they are now finding in Norway
Is that the one which is associated with Mink farming?
