A crap day at work yesterday, load of problems MD giving me stick about this and that, left work at 17:00 in a foul mood. roof down Music up (Ike and Tina Turner Nutbush City Limits as loud as I could stand it) Arrived home in a great frame of mind..Even in my Z4, one thing that is better with the Z4 is the sound system Great Sound.

Absolutely agree Jim, even if I leave work in a half decent mood (rare) I get home in a much better one.

Tony.

I'd love to follow suit here. I only live 6 miles from the yard and it's 6 miles of hell going home, even in the zed.

A38 and up through Skegby? Is it that bad at peak times?
I have 27 miles of mostly fast country roads, short stretches of dual carriageway and few junctions. Its one of the few good things about the job :coolsteer)(until the M1 gets snarled up around Jns17-20 :bashhead:).

Its the going to work that gets to me, the going home part is fantastic, and even better in the Z when the top is down, I choose the scenic route when the weather is good and the top is down, keep away from the majors.
Are you saying there are some non-scenic routes around there?

Not many but the A483 is dreary and busy.
Is that down from Chester? Not a road I've used often - its usually the A5 up into North Wales we use.

Yep the Chester/Wrexham bypass then onto the A5 to Llangollen. Next time you are down let me know I know some stunning drives, loads of un used back roads in North Wales not well used.

We used to have a static caravan up in N Wales when the boys were young. The A5 is about a mile away from us and I use it everyday for work - it was the obvious choice for most of the journeys up there and back.

Have found a few roads up there - am one for turning up a road just to see where it goes. Must be loads I've missed though.

Hopefully you can try and get back to normal soon.

I drove up to north Wales via the scenic route in the Mazda :( What a waste .... it was a cracking sunny day once I got past Craven Arms :banghead:

Yep. Our depot is on the A38 at Kirkby. I just stay on it all the way home. Rubbish after 3.30.

Went past it several times this week. It's the bits where it's two lanes to one and back to two - everybody gets frustrated - those in the inside lane because of those trying to push past the queue and those on the outside because nobody will let them pull back in. Inspired road planning - not! Is it quicker to go the other way to lowmoor road past sheepbridge and back?

Not a lot in it Ian really. It's all scrap after 3.30. I'm normally leaving work between 3 and 4.
