Old cars rust in peace

Just found another virtually identical but a different colour at a wood yard at Lindale near grange over Sands unfortunately the owner wouldn't let me photograph it

It never ceases to amaze me how many old vehicles are still just laying about. I wonder how many modern day one’s will stand the test of time, not many me thinks.
 
That's true I know of a field full of abandoned 1950/1960 cars just rotting away I will try and get there in the next couple of weeks and get some pics allotments can turn up some amazing finds I bought a vw karman ghia of one in the 1980s for £50,

That would be worth a few quid now, I wish I had some of my old cars. Ford 100E van, Ford mark 1 cortina, singer Gazelle. And Hillman minx same shape as the Gazelle. And a V4 Corsair.
 
I used to have one of those brown Triumphs. My son loved it, so I gave it him, within a week the timing chain adjuster failed and knackered the engine!
