This might have mentioned before, but I'll mention again because of significance of failing ones..
I gave my 220k plus 99 Z3, the first oil change since I got it. Those two little o-rings were cream crackered. I don't think they had ever been changed. So I changed em. Now the oil light goes out immediately on startup, and everything than uses oil pressure seems to be working better, lifters, vanos, tensioners anything that relies on hydraulics really, the car in fact... If you have neglected yours, It might pay to look next oil change... . Just a heads up for those that may not be aware of their importance..
Oh and I pulled fuse 13 & 18 and cranked her over a bit before putting them back for startup...
