Yep, me too. My roof was manual but I had to watch out for my paint work when doing it on my own, as you tend to lean up against the car while pulling the roof up, belt buckles etc.....

You need longer arms and longer legs Mike =)) You must be a short arse if your belt buckle touches your car, the Zeds only 2ft high

@HT Trinity does it from inside the car. She straddles the consol and pulls it up then latches it so no paint damage. As for the HT the only damage to paint came when someone helped me and didn't lift it high enough. I take it off through the inside, turning it slightly and tilting into the car's passenger area. Then take my gorilla arms and simply lift it off and carry it to where ever. I think @ Jack Ratt has you pegged, short arms, short legs!! And what has age got to do with it anyhow?? JIM

Well I bought it! He got someone to fix the roof and it works ok now, although getting it closed after being folded up for what I imagine was a very long period was a two man job. I have the hard top on the kitchen for now and while easier to remove than an E46 one I definitely wouldn't do it on my own.
Gonna leave the soft top closed for a few days to stretch it out and then get it to my mechanic for a full medical! So far I know it needs an inspection 2 service along with some attention to the air vents. For some reason the centre vent doesn't seem to be blowing at all so I'm keen to get that looked at.

Another odd one is that the engine cover and fuse box cover are missing, so they will need to be sourced. I'm sure some other things will pop up as I haven't really driven it more than 500 metres but I'm excited to see what lies ahead.

I'll get some photos and a full thread going on what's needed and what I'm gonna do to it and any suggestions would be appreciated.

The fuse box cover looks cheap enough OEM but I think you will have to chat up one of our breakers for the other cover.
