3 guesses for what I’ve just broken off… any tips on getting the rest of it out of the radiator? :banghead:

They all seem to do that. If the end won’t just turn and come out try supergluing something to the end. Alternatively get a reverse drill bit on it.

oooh…. might be worth checking both cars and putting some grease on them… and the two spare ones

Beware of greases on them bits, vaseline might be suitable. Just head to the nearest chemist and tell them you're off to a party at the weekend. Should get you served quickly.

Vaseline is petrol-based. Petrol melts rubber over time.
Silicone-based anything is safe as a 'lubricant' on rubber or plastic parts.

Ok, head off to the chemist and ask for some silicon lube. You'll still get served quickly.

And, yes, I have had to go to a chemist in Pwllheli and buy some vaseline and KY jelly.

Yes, I did tell the lady behind the counter I was off to a party at the weekend.

Yes, I did get served quickly.

Not been back since.

I hasten to add, there were horse-related reasons for this purchase. Not personal, oh no.
