I worked in the motor industry Mechanic, Technician and MOT Tester until I retired a couple of years ago. I started for the first 5 years as an Agircultural Fitter learning how to repair things and not just bolt on new bits, Farmers appreciated that back then.

I was at awe aldermaston for a year, canny place.

I became a tattoo artist many years ago, fell out of love with it about 4 years back. I still do a few a year, choice pieces if it's something I'm interested in but nothing massive anymore.

Now I do decommissioning works at sites like awe. I've just returned from a few months on a rig in shetland.

I used to be a cnc programmer and then went into nursing at 24, trained up to do critical care nursing, travelled to loads of places doing air ambulance and been doing the agency since 2015. Currently doing my last hurrah in the Isle of Man and wondering what to do next. I fancy a change.

Set out doing software for telephone exchanges, developed the first combined voice and data terminal (all the stuff you can do on your computer and even your phone now, my mate did one of the first voice mail systems), some secret stuff I can’t tell you about, managed customer Indirect Access data (131) for Mercury Comms, managed the data on 100s of UK telephone exchanges including code changes and 999 services, account manager to the largest ISPs (AOL, Demon Internet, UUNET Pipex and others) when dial-up was starting implementing 100,000s of phones each month, and finally went on to manage system, process and service model data for the UK TV and radio broadcast networks (c3,000 tv and 4,000 radio transmitters around the UK and all the associated IT and power systems that support them). A good mix. Now retired.
