Morning,

I have a recurring “management light“ on my dash, I have taken it to several garages and they cannot find any faults with my Z3 2.2 Roadster, they have suggested I purchase my own OBD2 diagnostic scanner so i won’t have to take the car to the garage to get the light reset. i have searched online and there are quite a few models so I was wondering if anyone can suggest a make and model.

Many thanks

Nomad.

See what I use here:
I'd recommend this approach for OBDII fault diagnosis as you should be able find cheap/free scanning sw that gives the full capability of the ODBII Engine Control Unit. You shouldn't need the 20-pin connector, your vehicle *should* have a 16pin OBDII port under the steering wheel.
The wireless interfaces are cheap and widely available and scanning sw can even be used on your phone which I think is quite neat.
