OBD advice

Hi was looking to buy a OBD 2 device Wi-Fi, I have an ELM 327 Wi Fi but cant pair it to my phone (iphone5s) Plug it in turn on ignition and phone cant find it, so looking to buy a Mini one to leave plugged in all the time, any one used one of these on a Z4 and if so could you recommend one and the app to use.

I use the ELM 327 and the app DashCmd on my iphone. The live data is fast to so no delay.

Long as you don't catch your knee on it getting in and out the zed Looks pretty cool though.
