And finally to the point. Bought the car a present (first time I've ever laid out money on this vanity stuff)

So that the bike I'm busy chopping up and rebuilding (and painting Topaz Blue with black wheels, just like the Z) doesn't feel left out I snapped this up, too.

The more I look at it, the more I think the kidney grilles need to lose their chrome and go black. Which will mean taking the ///M gills off the sides of the bonnet and losing the chrome off them. That'll be another day, got to go out there now and sort out the leaking power-steering cooling pipe thing, steering felt really heavy when I moved the car yesterday and sure enough it's left a nice streak of oil behind it. Bl**dy rust.

And that's that sorted, half an hour with a sturdy wire brush, some awkward hacksawing, and a bit of 13mm hose later the leak has gone. So what's on the list for tomorrow, then? No doubt the car will let me know.
