Z3 all cleaned up one week after completing One Lap of America 2019. 8,010 miles in 15 days. Current mileage: 242,973. This was our eighth time running One Lap in this car. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires we put on for the event were excellent. Recorded our best skid pad result ever (.967g). Awesome mechanical grip.

One Lap is an automotive competition that includes a number of different events; wet skid pad, autocross, time trials on several road courses (Nelson Ledges, Road America, Brainerd International, Motorsports Park Hastings, NCM Motorsports Park), drag racing for low ET, bracket racing on the drag strip, (both drag events held at Brainerd International), and a dry skid pad to end it. It all takes place between one Saturday and the next with long transits from track to track. 3,700+ miles in a week.

Impressive stuff! :woot:

243k miles eh? and loads of people in the UK wont touch a car that's approaching 100k or would rather keep the car in the garage than put some miles on the meter.
That's some road trip though:thumbsup:

I’ve just done a similar “Lap of Mainland UK”.

2,400 miles in 6 days - Liverpool, Plymouth, London, Edinburgh, Inverness, John O’Groats, Skye, Inverness and then back to Liverpool.

Unfortunately I had to do it in a rental diesel as my Z4MC is having ‘open heart surgery’ - after deciding to do a full rebuild at 163,000 miles. But then found a low mileage engine that we’ve decided to swap out instead...and keep the original for spares.
