Its caused by wet carpets - lift the seat - the carpet is in 2 halves with the seam under the seat, put your hand through the gap and I bet the foam is sodden. only way to sort that is to take the entire interior out and then find the leak.

No worries pal - that will all just wipe off with Milton as someone suggested. Leaks can come from anywhere, on my old one I emptied the entire cabin and it turned out to be the seal on the A pillar, not where the roof joined the car as I initially suspected.Ok mate will check that out, however there's no musty or damp smell in the car.
