On my way back, I stopped by the only remaining vestiges of Ramsey Abbey, founded in 969 CE, and dissolved in 1539 (thanks Henry). The Abbey was really important for the region, and a centre for Hebrew and Arabic scholarship.
Anyway, back on topic:
The Abbey grounds are pretty much opposite my house.
