So, we had a lovely day at my neck of the woods, so I just went for a drive with the top down. Eh, the car, not me...

On my way back, I stopped by the only remaining vestiges of Ramsey Abbey, founded in 969 CE, and dissolved in 1539 (thanks Henry). The Abbey was really important for the region, and a centre for Hebrew and Arabic scholarship.

Anyway, back on topic:

The Abbey grounds are pretty much opposite my house.

Can't beat a drive out with nowhere to go. Usually end up for coffee and cake somewhere though

Unless it's summer, then thoughts turn to Ice cream. We found several new places last summer.
