Hi all,

On and off we have the odd member saying the site doesn't remember them being logged in when they visit. I've looked at this over the past few months when it's been mentioned, but never managed to find a common factor or even be able to reproduce it myself!

I think I may have found the solution, which I implemented today just after lunch. Can you let me know if you are still having issues with this or not?

IF you still have this issue can you do the following before messaging me!

1> Click 'Logout' so you are no longer logged in to the forum
2> Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Delete all board cookies"
3> Log back in again. Close the browser, reboot etc to make sure it's remembering you.

Did you both do the 3 steps I put in the original post?

Anyone that had the original issue got any comments as to whether it's the same or fixed...

I have just done the steps too, it logs me in but as soon as I click on the home page it logs me out again. :-?

Everything worked ok until after lunchtime.

Ron, you may just have given me the one bit of useful information I've been desperate for. When you say "home page", do you mean the main home page site (not the forum?).

BMG, are you doing the same thing?

It looks like it could be an issue with the front page bridge to the forum. I'm just rebuilding my laptop right now to test this out...

For some unknown reason, I am not having this problem anymore but if I jump from the forum to the home page, I am not being shown as logged in but when I jump back to the forum, I am....... :-?

Yes Gary the main home page, not the forum, it is still doing it. Just as Badman says, if I go back on the forum then I'm logged in.

The bridge between the home page and forum is now disabled. It doesn't affect the forum in any way disabling it, just turns off a couple of functions on the home page which we can live without for now.

As far as I can see the issue with not remaining logged in should now be resolved for everyone.

Sorry for any confusion yesterday!
