Jim, although we are nearly at 3000 total member accounts, I wonder how many are actually 'active' accounts. I bet the forum stats would tell us eh @GazHyde ;)

I just had this conversation with someone at the last meet. Over a 30 day period around 500 people (on average) sign in to their account. Can't tell you how many times that month, but not everyone visits daily sometimes weekly, or as and when.

The counter on the home page shows how many within the last 24 hour period (that's a rolling 24 hours, not between a fixed time). Usually shows anywhere between 110 and 170 depending on how many events are on that week. That number is a count of humans too, unlike other forum software which would include automated visitors (like search engine robots updating their indexes).

That's some rough figures for you, shout if you want any specifics and I'll see if the system will give me them.
