This just popped up in my inbox today - from my local Skoda dealer.

Skoda Fabia 110 R coupe.
Concept only at the moment. No plans for production.
Not bad looking.. IMO.

Nothing wrong with a Skoda. It's a VW with a smaller price tag (although not by much these days).
One of the best cars we've had was a 2019 Octavia. It was a Golf with a different frock and a generation older infotainment. Cost pennies to lease for three years and never had any issues at all.

Presumably it is a 2.5 tonne all electric thing with a 0-60 time of a nano second and 50 mile range?
Cars are getting to look more like Lego every day.
I don't like it. But as I get older I don't seem to like any new cars. Designed by computers for 20-somethings.

Awaiting delivery of a Skoda, due mid Feb.

No longer able to double the value by filling the petrol tank, as it's an EV.
Reliability has come on as it has heated steering wheel and seats, instead of heated rear window to keep your hands warm as you push it.

By all accounts of reviews, this is the 2nd best selling EV in Europe and regularly beats Elon Richard Head's thingY. Same platform as VW/Audi iD/Q 4/5 series jobbies, but better fit and finish and materials at lower price point if buying. Also it won't be attacked by the mendacious, discriminatory parts of society that believe disabled people should be left to rot at home and not have access to BMW/MB vehicles. Although there will be 1 of each on the same driveway!! It's blue, has plastic components, so is a 21st century spaz chariot!!

4 wheel drive. Factory options of opening sunroof, not just a window; tow bar to put bike rack on. Free charger. What's not to like whilst joining the herd to the utopian future of electrickery and playing the tariff game for lower cost motoring. Possible to get £30 per month for unlimited charging if required, although doubtful enough time in a day to do that sort of mileage.

Even the drivers slang has changed, remember the discussion of stopping at the services for fuel and doing a splash and dash to a cheaper off motor way fuel station, now its Volt and Bolt as heard around the meeting table the other day. 🤦‍♂️

Another reason why I don't do meetings anymore. I always hated meetings of any description but if I heard things like that I would get punchy.
I now get other people to attend any meetings and give me the relevant points after. Usually takes about a minute!
I have walked out of many meetings over the years as they were a waste of my time and energy. Luckily I was never employed so couldn't get fired.
