Not-so-fond memories of a Hillman Husky (Imp estate) when I were a lad. Guess they'll all be gone by now. Hurrah says I.:)
I can remember the original Husky too mate. The old Rootes group did like to recycle names didn't they?:)

My dad had a brand new imp. He only kept it a year, said it was the worst car he ever owned, kept freezing up during the winter.

Back in my youth, one of the first cars I had was a pea green Imp, but mine had been prepared and engine tuned by Roger Nathan, with very modified suspension and brakes but with just wheel spacers, it looked stock but it was a real sleeper of a car and won me a lot of street bets as it could blow the socks off a Cooper S and virtually everything else on the roads in its day. Great little car.

In more ways than one, E30 rear suspension, E36 compact chassis and E46 engine and box (on the later ones). it all works well though.:thumbsup:
