I would seriously hope thats not the case, I've never heard of that. The Ombudsman would be all over that if an Insurer tried to pull that. I know in Saudi your motor insurance wasnt valid if you took your car into the desert, but thats understandable.
You have raised another matter which I always do; if ever on a high safety site - I've been in quarrys and an oil refinery on Immingham Docks amongst other places - car parks are usually mandatory reverse parking. I always do it because it avoids people being unsighted and precisely this kind of accident. Food for thought.
