I would seriously hope thats not the case, I've never heard of that. The Ombudsman would be all over that if an Insurer tried to pull that. I know in Saudi your motor insurance wasnt valid if you took your car into the desert, but thats understandable.

You have raised another matter which I always do; if ever on a high safety site - I've been in quarrys and an oil refinery on Immingham Docks amongst other places - car parks are usually mandatory reverse parking. I always do it because it avoids people being unsighted and precisely this kind of accident. Food for thought.

OK here, but, in Florida as you only have to show a reg. plate on the rear of a vehicle it is illegal to park reversed in. I try to park reversed in if I can because it protects your front skirt on high kerbs. Sadly a lot of drivers seem to be incapable of parking like that.

sorry to hear about the 'plonker'.
I thought the wearing of headphones, while driving, of any sort was illegal ?
Just a thought, you say he was reversing out of a parking space ? Was this on the road or in a car park. If it was in a car park you may well find insurance won't cover on 'private' land.
I 100% hope that is not the case but I have heard of this being cited as a reason for non payment.

If its a public carpark open to and access for the public, all highway rules apply, including speed restrictions.

No laws stopping you wearing headphones while driving either, buts its covered under due care and attention.

Hopefully Tony it'll go smoothly - brake fluid !! Really. Manufacturers really do like to get money outa folks. Shouldnt be neccessary at all.

I'd just cancel the warning and do it yourself when you get back
