Shirl went in Lincoln this morning and came home with more than she went with.

Bloke reversing out of his spot in a Golf, blind, deaf and dumb! Cant get it repaired before a week on Saturday, so August 9th is best at Brooklands in Lincoln. Oh and he was wearing ear phones as a hands free which explains why he didn’t hear Shirl’s horn. To say we’re mightily pi55ed off is an understatement.

ps. And neither of his phone numbers work. Car is taxed and tested but no proof it is his car.

When the woman backed into my zed a while back the police were very good, but I think that was because she drove off without leaving her details. Hope you get it sorted from the bloke's insurance.

Yes, we do and he gave Shirl a name and address along with Mob. and landline numbers. I also checked that the car was taxed and tested so we hope it was insured too.

It wasn’t just us who had a bad day yesterday either. There was a match on the lake as usual and after shouting at one lazy pig relieving himself in the hedge down the roadside, before the match had started by the way, just too idle to walk to the toilet across the lake.
Anyway, after the match as one guy from Sleaford left he hit the end of the kerb (which was left dead square and sharp) ripping his drivers front tyre open. The kerb wasn’t visible because the grass hadn’t been cut around it. I saw he was struggling to loosen the wheel nuts for the same old reason, that they were overtightened so I told him to bring it round and I fitted his space saver for him.

He did give Shirl a name and address, you just have to trust it was real don't you.
Anyway he did email and make contact that way with Insurance details.

I hope it won’t effect any of your insurances. Just by coincidence my other half had her Polo written off no fault of her own but my insurance renewals for the ///M and Cooper S have both shot up time for another quote.
I hope it’s sorted out seamlessly for you both to enjoy your trip back across the pond.

Booked in at Brooklands in Lincoln mate but not till after we get home but we have to take it in one day for them to see what it needs parts wise. That's next week, and already booked in at Sopers for its pre warranty expiry check over and brake fluid change. 3 years old and 9,000 miles. Really??

sorry to hear about the 'plonker'.
I thought the wearing of headphones, while driving, of any sort was illegal ?
Just a thought, you say he was reversing out of a parking space ? Was this on the road or in a car park. If it was in a car park you may well find insurance won't cover on 'private' land.
I 100% hope that is not the case but I have heard of this being cited as a reason for non payment.
