Cannot beleive someone could hit the car so hard and just drive off
Not made an insurance claim before, i fear they might write off. I'm with dirrect line so no claims is automatically protected, but with a £500 excess.
Had builders at the house all day, seems thery heard and saw nothing. Amazing.
Don't tell you insurance company pal, they will right the car off unless thats what you want, as you could buy it back for peanuts and get the fix done very cheap if you can find a door in the same colourStruggling to calm down. @Andy McDonnell no footage.

Check the builders van / lorry for damage
Frank, the builder, has been parking his Merc in the back garden
All options are running through my head, will speak to Direct line in the morning, when i've calmned down.
Right off is not an option. Local Body shop done a good job last time.
Worried about the sill damage, that was quite a bang.

From your Photo, it looks like just the door wing and sill cover. You could probably fix it for less than your £500 excess as long as there is no other damage. The wing and sill cover could be repaired and I would think there are plenty of doors about.
