No start unless accelerator pressed

As stated in the thread title, I had a bit of trouble with Zachary today: he wouldn't start unless the accelerator pedal was depressed. It would crank but not fire.

I haven't read the fault codes yet but I just wanted to pick your brains as to might what cause this failure mode on an engine, especially the M43.

I would say cam position sensor but your codes will tell you more

I was thinking maybe the fly by wire throttle is not working correctly ? (If fitted) the positioning has gone a miss ??
