Well yesterday took the Z out for a quick run to get it all ready for a nice cruise today picnic site seeing, a few jars may be, gets up early to fuel up ready for the off, back out the garage, 1 rear flat tyre, oh well compressor in the garage, gets it out and will the tyre inflate? Not a chance.

All Tyre places closed as its a bank holiday.
So here i am at home eating a bleeding egg & cress sandwich on the lawn with the picnic basket site seeing the koi pond & the back fence nursing a bruised hand & limping after kicking the flat tyre while parked on the drive, just like top gear, the wifes ford fiesta sitting there as the back up car.
God I hate you.
Kind regards Pete.

Well, our morning didn’t go as planned either.
Wife and I were meant to meet up with forum member @Alan Slade and his wife for a coffee and cake at The Control Tower Cafe at Goodwood Motor Circuit.

Got there just after 11.00am to find Marshall’s controlling traffic, Spectators lining the road, and only cars with passes being allowed in. Have no idea what it was all about, and I would think Alan was unaware of this when he contacted me to arrange the meet.
As we have never met, and I didn’t have a mobile number, decided to go for a run in the sun and then home.
We’ll have to arrange another day, as I was looking forward to Cake!!!!

On the up side, I think I got 2nd place in the old git in a sports car category =))

Talking of flat tyres...
Was at the local filling station yesterday as a someone gingerly drives past my car at a snails pace and then reverses up to the pump in front of me. Clearly a complex manoeuvre....it takes ages.

Finished up filling, petrol cap back on and I go to the door to pay. This car is still trying to get to the pump.
Just as I pull on the door in to the shop there’s an almighty BANG and a woman crossing the forecourt behind me screams!!! Jeez - what’s going on???

Said car had driven the front wheel onto the raised island with the pumps and managed to completely remove the tyre from the rim.

Petrol pumps do get knocked over from time to time in this way, unbelievable really.:(

I had two flat tyres last Sunday :p
I'm just so pleased it wasn't today ;)

I'm sure they do - why would stupid drivers think that petrol pumps are worthy of steering clear of. Not in any way dangerous - surely?
After all - they let anyone use them!

I was inside of Goodwood waiting for you. I had spoken to the nice man on the gate who let me in when I said I had arranged to meet someone at the control tower cafe. The good news is I got 1st prize in the old git in a sports car competition. Perhaps we will meet next time.
