I had a planned visit to the Z Shed today for all round replacement shock absorbers basic OEM replacements. May I firstly thank the guys @Lee,@GazHyde ,@pgunter,@Oldguysrule for a great day day of banter, P**s take, laughter and hard work.
Having seen how nimble Gary is at removing the rear carpet trim to reveal the rear shock fixings any future visitor for this work - Do not be sucked in that its its visitor's task to do this, I think Paul has photographic evidence that clearly shows Gary's the man for this task.

This is one of the jobs I've been looking to have done since I bought the car some 18 months ago and has been highlighted on numerous MOT advisories and the condition of what the guys took off the car certainly proved this was a job that needed to be done. The car now handles with more confidence and not so lurching. Its funny how you get used to the handling and think that's the norm, far from it!

Today's visit was also a great opportunity to give the car a once over for any further work required and in Z shed speak / lingo I'm looking at a returning visit in a couple of weeks time for "Bananas", "Lollipops" ,"Guibo" and "Fluids" :)- basically front suspension replacements and engine, gearbox & diff oil replacements.

Sorry not many pics today but it was an extremely enjoyable day especially finishing it off with a quick and I mean quick trip around Basingstoke with Lee and his fabulous Z4 Coupe, (I've never been around a bend at that speed - WOW):nailbiting:. I think the term I'm really looking for here is "sticks like S**t". Its a super example of a Z4.

Once again many thanks Lee, Gary, Paul & Trevor - Another happy customer:thumbsup::thumbsup:

You are very welcome sir! Was a great laugh today, and we managed to get some work done - and find some more to do while we were at it!

It's a shame the Zed Shed isn't closer as I could see my self spending more time there

I have to agree the lads seem to really enjoy what they do and although they give up most of their time to help us, they also take pride in what they do and give some great advice. We did mention today, that with the cost professional garage costs, this help and time is another asset in keeping these cars on the road.
Keep up the good work Boys.

I agree. I feel without the lads working on my Z3 it wouldn't be on the road today as I have no mechanical knowledge or tools and with the cost of garages I wouldn't have achieved so much.
It's funny really but when ever I drive my Zed the Zed Shed comes to mind.

@NODZED changed my diff and gear box oils which helped loads.

@Russell O has helped out with a wing and door change and fixed my drivers seat.

@Redline for taking the best photo of my Z3

Only goes to prove how wonderful the community we have in Zroadster.org

Thank you @Low Rider
And there's still an open invitation for anyone else that needs a full lube service whether they want to do it themselves or need a hand or just need to use the ramps for other jobs. There is a steam cleaner on site for under-body cleans and I have just about every tool you need for most servicing / repairs so you wont need to cart your tool chest with you.:thumbsup:
