As it's been a nice day I thought if brave it and have a go at fitting my roll hoops. All went largely to plan except I put a couple of screws through the top of the locker box as I needed to put a hinge on and used the wrong screws
Otherwise very happy with myself and it has taken a job away from @t-tony who as always offered his help after returning from his jollies. Just waiting to collect my deflector from Lee and job complete.
Thanks again @Jimmy Weston for the kit. I'll get in touch this week mate to sort things out.
As it was.
Large locker box out.
Seat belts out and turret tops replaced.
Found this hidden under one of the turret tops. After investigating it turned out to be power for the tweeters I've just got shot of with the old plastics.
Hoop mounts fitted. Had to ask Lee at this point as there were some metal brackets obscuring where the mounts wanted to be.
Next was to put the new smaller locker box in place.
Now for the main event, slotting in the hoops.
And the end result. Reggie is looking a bit different now with his new lip spoiler and hoops. I like the look, looks more finished somehow.
.
As most know on here I'm not great with the spanners although I do like to have a go. Anyone wanting to have to crack at this, I didn't find it difficult just fiddly. There are a fair few hidden screws so just be careful when removing the old plastics. The ones that caught it out are hidden at the back of the centre console where my rear heated screen switch is even though I don't have one!
