Nextbase dash cams Aldi?

I had go with one of these today. Very impressed!

I'm sorry, that's uploaded in crap quality. I don't know how to do it!

Yeah I clicked back into the link and can see it's 1080. When I first viewed it it was 360p with no option to change!

Even at 1080 the picture is much clearer from the actual video on my PC. Must be to do with how YouTube compress it

Bargain. This happens a lot throughout many industries. It's a huge thing in food, you'll get your Asda and Morrisons stuff coming off exactly the same production line as M&S and Waitrose, only difference is the price.
a lot of the Aldi special food ranges are also those found in M&S

I was in the food industry for 11 years and watching all "different but same" products being labelled for various supermarkets was laughable.
All these consumers sucked in by the "badge"!!

Anyone else notice that the downloadable manual still has the Nextbase logos on it? And, just in case anyone would be silly enough to try it, DON'T just cut the cigarette lighter adaptor bit off the power lead and hard-wire it to the car, the 12v-5v converter is in the plug. I know you all knew that already, just in case.:whistle:No, I didn't do it myself, but I would bet that someone somewhere has tried it.

And a week later I'm still waiting for the SD card to turn up.:(Can't even up-date the camera without it.

I noticed that too. Also if you've downloaded the viewing software from the Voyager website and click the camera firmware update tab it takes you straight to the Nextbase website! =))
However I've not tried updating it from there as there's bound to be some slight difference between them which may cause issues. Leaving as is for now... if it ain't broke.

And why shouldn't I resurrect an old(ish) thread? Anyone else notice that the impact sensor bit on these is way too sensitive. Not really a problem, but it keeps locking clips for no real reason. The roads round here aren't that bad, but roughly half the clips get locked, if I ever go anywhere a long way away I'll run out of memory. And that's an increasing worry the older I get, anyway.

Lidl had a similar camera this week for £5 cheaper. Grrrrr.

I've noticed that too so turned the sensitivity down in the setting to see if that helps.

Did wonder if you could adjust the sensitivity.

Tony.

It's on the first screen in the menu at the very bottom. Changed it to low but not looked back at any footage yet... which I must do as spotted a silver Z4 parked in a multistorey near me today.

Mine's on low now and seems much better (in my daily) sure it will be different story in the zed however.
