Hi All,

Just purchased a 1999 Z3. Its a project-I think? :)
Looking for some advice on stuff, never owned a Z3 before and without any handbook and information on the car I am a little lost.
Trying to get this nice car back on the road and looking its best.
Looking forward to talking to you all.

Thanks for the welcome all,

My car has a few issues, it seems every internal panel has been pried off with a crow bar at some point by some idiots.. so its going to need a lot of new fixing mounts.
Drivers side door has a broken internal handle-common I have found out, but with the handle itself as rare as hens teeth and a mortgage is needed for a new one.
Seat bushes loose-again found out a common thing but a bit unnerving with the seat moving when braking.
Tyres- 225/16/40 on the front 205/16/50 on the rear? Can anyone advise on best/correct sizing?
Dash board lights- This is the concerning one for me... on start not all the lights come on, I expect to see an illumination of every light and then settle to the required ones, if we have no faults. No air bag light at all?? Its got a new MOT so I assume its not important but then I thought it was?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

@spurs fan in a coupe @mrscalex and @Synclare are our main resident breakers for parts. The airbag light may be taped over or light remove to hide any fault perhaps. Interesting tyres  I think the stock setup was 225/16's all round, plenty of options out there to staggered setups 16,17, 18 and even 19" rims.

Hello and :welcome: form Surrey, which lights do come on? Most of the trim fixings are available from dealers, Sopers of lincoln give us a good price and usually free postage. If you need to find partnumbers, www.realoem.com, put the last 7 digits of your vin in the search field and you will find all the parts for your car.

Missing lights are very important. They will probably be hiding faults. Even if they are just blown they can’t let you know about faults in the future. The keener MOT testers will spot missing lamps and fail it.

Hello and welcome.

Interesting tyre combo you have there. 16" wheels usually run with 225/50 front and back on a straight setup.

Hi,
Airbag for one
ASC the button on the centre consol does not do anything.
The seat belt light comes on and goes off without a seat belt fiited.
Not sure if i am being over cautious.
Thanks
